Look for BUPE at the New Music Festival in Winnipeg 2008!

February 27, 2008 : B.U.P.E. plays with guest Shawn Mativetsky, tabla soloist, in a performance of the 2nd concerto by Payton MacDonald. This concert will include works by Miki, Chavez, Rosauro and Vivier.

February 19, 2008 : BUPE played a joint concert with the River East High School Percussion Ensemble in Winnipeg.

February 12, 2007 : B.U.P.E. plays at the Telpay New Music Festival at the Centennial Concert Hall, Winnipeg, MB.

March 5, 2007 : B.U.P.E. Concert featuring solo performance of Hatch "When do they is not the same as why do they" by Graydon Cramer, and Steven Caine and Stephanie Dzubinsky, solo xylophone rags. Matt Duboff and Alissa Watson performed Rhythm Song by Smadbeck on 2 marimbas. Brandon, MB.

The Brandon University Percussion department consists of Music Education and Performance Majors who are serious about percussion and developing strong playing technique and musicality. There are many exciting opportunities through out the year such as our annual trip to the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (last year in Austin, Texas). B.U.P.E. performs in Winnipeg and Brandon and has been a guest ensemble at the TelPay New Music Festival in Winnipeg and the B.U. Pro Series in Brandon. Members of the B.U.P.E. have also played with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
