• Ben was awarded a Composer Commission Grant from MB Arts Council to commission a new work for solo vibraphone and percussion from composer Diana McIntosh. VIDEO OF PERFORMANCE HERE.

April 30 - May 23, 2009 - The Manitoba Theatre Centre presents: "Boys in the Photograph" - music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is a World Premiere of a new musical. Ben playing percussion in the pit!

June 19, 2009 - Carnival of the Animals. more details.

July 19 - 25, 2009 - Ben is teaching a Marimba/Vibe session at the International Peace Gardens music camp.

November 20, 2009 - Ben curates and performs in Groundswell concert "Licks and Riffs". This will be at the Park Theatre, 8pm. More details to come.

January 16, 2008 - Groundswell presents:

Ben plays in Berio's Folk Songs and a theatrical work by James Harley, Encounters II.

February 4, 2008 - Winnipeg New Music Festival

Ben performs solo at 7PM pre-concert in the Piano Nobile of the Centennial Concert Hall. Works include "Train Set" for solo drumset and electronics by Eliot Britton. He will also be performing in the evening full concert with the WSO.

February 27, 2008 - Brandon University Percussion Ensemble Concert:

B.U.P.E. plays with guest tabla expert Shawn Mativetsky in a performance of Payton

MacDonald's 2nd Concerto for Tabla and Percussion. Also Ben and Shawn will play a piece byMacDonald for marimba and tabla.

April 21-May 17, 2008 - MTC presents Dreamgirls:

Ben is playing percussion nightly in the performance of Michael Bennett's Dreamgirls.

June 29, 2008 - Winnipeg Jazz Festival - Ben plays kit for Jessie Havey and the Quirks.

September 25 , 2008 - Groundswell presents: "Remarkable Things About Time" featuring works by Elliott Carter. Ben will perform Saeta, Canaries, Improvisation and March for solo timpani by Carter.

October 27 , 2008 - Groundswell in Brandon, MB premiere new work by Michael Matthews. Ben performs in ensemble and also will be playing solo and duo works by Morlock and Ptaszynska.

October 28 , 2008 - Groundswell in Winnipeg premiere new work by Michael Matthews. Ben performs in ensemble and also will be playing solo and duo works by Morlock and Ptaszynska.

November 27, 2008 - Brandon Chamber Players present Handel's Messiah.
